HOPE

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."  Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

HOPE!  Everyone needs it.  Without it life can be very fearful.  But, more than anything, without the Hope of God and Jesus Christ, life can be full of terror.

My Sister in law, Robin, passed away recently. If her family (including myself) did not have the HOPE of her salvation which she received from Christ, we would have been more devastated that we were. If know the Hope of her salvation and our own.  We know we will see her again.

The big question is, do you have that same hope for yourself and your family?

"Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ" -Titus 2:13

where is your HOPE?

A Very Long and yet short year-2015.

I did not realize that I had not posted in over one year. Sorry followers. Life has been hectic, which makes things complicated and yet has flow by so fast which makes it hard to do the tasks before us.

I hope this year was good for all, that your Christmas was wonderful and that the new year 2016 will bring you your hearts desires. Blessings!

10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."

This is already happening in our time.  You can see it happening all over the world,  If you deny it , you are deceived yourself. God has said He will not allow evil in His presence, and just as He dealt with in since the beginning of man's time, when he sent Adam and Eve out of the Garden, He will continue discourage it even now.    Make no mistake, He is the God of love, but evil has no place in that love. 

Some have said we cannot reach the non-believers through scare tactics, but that is what God did throughout the whole Bible. He sent His prophets to tell the people to repent and return to Him or He would destroy them .  Should be any different.  We have  tried love, just as God did. But they did not listen then and they aren't listening now.

Jesus is coming sooner than many think!

KNOWING GOD IS KNOWING HIS WILL

Knowing God and His will is as easy as reading His Word.

Gen. 1:1-31  God created the heavens and the earth by the power of His tongue (Word).

 

Gen. 1:26  God created man in the image of Himself and those with Him, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. .."Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.."

 

God requires obedience:  Gen 2:15-17

 

 John 10:10
The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

 

 

1 Thessalonians 4:1-3

Amplified Bible (AMP)

4 Furthermore, brethren, we beg and admonish you in [virtue of our union with] the Lord Jesus, that [you follow the instructions which] you learned from us about how you ought to walk so as to please and gratify God, as indeed you are doing, [and] that you do so even more and more abundantly [attaining yet greater perfection in living this life].

2 For you know what charges and precepts we gave you on the authority and by the inspiration of] the Lord Jesus.

3 For this is the will of God, that you should be consecrated (separated and set apart for pure and holy living): that you should abstain and shrink from all sexual vice,

 

 

Living in Gods will and living life abundantly are unified in His Word.

 

What you do for a living, where you work, how you live are all dependent on Living within His Will.  His will is shown in His Word.  Praying to know His will is only needed after you live as He has instructed and then seeking His guidance in your choices. Then you must listen for His instruction and heed it. 

 

Still not sure what to do?  Well you can't be lead by The Holy Spirit if you are not living how He said to.

 

And knowing God is living in a close relationship with Him, through obedience.

Are we like Job and claim our calamity is from God when it is from Satan?

 

 Job 1

8 And the Lord said to Satan, Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who [reverently] fears God and abstains from and shuns evil [because it is wrong]?

9 Then Satan answered the Lord, Does Job [reverently] fear God for nothing?

10 Have You not put a hedge about him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have conferred prosperity and happiness upon him in the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.

11 But put forth Your hand now and touch all that he has, and he will curse You to Your face.

12 And the Lord said to Satan (the adversary and the accuser), Behold, all that he has is in your power, only upon the man himself put not forth your hand.

 

Job 2

 

6 And the Lord said to Satan, Behold, he is in your hand; only spare his life.

7 So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord and smote Job with loathsome and painful sores from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head.

8 And he took a piece of broken pottery with which to scrape himself, and he sat [down] among the ashes.

9 Then his wife said to him, Do you still hold fast your blameless uprightness? Renounce God and die!

10 But he said to her, You speak as one of the impious and foolish women would speak. What? Shall we accept [only] good at the hand of God and shall we not accept [also] misfortune and what is of a bad nature? In [spite of] all this, Job did not sin with his lips. 

 

So we see that we, like Job and his wife, blame God for the world's  calamity, when it is Satan who fills our world with destruction and sickness.

And what else do we do?  We blame the evil of people's lives for their calamity, saying like Job's friends that he has reaped evil for his evil.  Yet that is not so. I agree that evil begets evil, but that does not mean that those who do no evil will still not receive evil in their lives.

How many times have people asked; why have good people fallen, or received death or evil in their lives?

We can see by God's Word that Satan causes destruction and not God. 

It is for us to study God's Word and seek His wisdom and truth.
