A Very Long and yet short year-2015.

I did not realize that I had not posted in over one year. Sorry followers. Life has been hectic, which makes things complicated and yet has flow by so fast which makes it hard to do the tasks before us.

I hope this year was good for all, that your Christmas was wonderful and that the new year 2016 will bring you your hearts desires. Blessings!

2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 (KJV) 

 "9 Even him {the anti-Christ}*, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."

This is already happening in our time.  You can see it happening all over the world,  If you deny it , you are deceived yourself. God has said He will not allow evil in His presence, and just as He dealt with in since the beginning of man's time, when he sent Adam and Eve out of the Garden, He will continue discourage it even now.    Make no mistake, He is the God of love, but evil has no place in that love. 

Some have said we cannot reach the non-believers through scare tactics, but that is what God did throughout the whole Bible. He sent His prophets to tell the people to repent and return to Him or He would destroy them .  Should be any different.  We have  tried love, just as God did. But they did not listen then and they aren't listening now.

Jesus is coming sooner than many think!

KNOWING GOD IS KNOWING HIS WILL

Knowing God and His will is as easy as reading His Word.

Gen. 1:1-31  God created the heavens and the earth by the power of His tongue (Word).

 

Gen. 1:26  God created man in the image of Himself and those with Him, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. .."Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.."

 

God requires obedience:  Gen 2:15-17

 

 John 10:10
The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

 

 

1 Thessalonians 4:1-3

Amplified Bible (AMP)

4 Furthermore, brethren, we beg and admonish you in [virtue of our union with] the Lord Jesus, that [you follow the instructions which] you learned from us about how you ought to walk so as to please and gratify God, as indeed you are doing, [and] that you do so even more and more abundantly [attaining yet greater perfection in living this life].

2 For you know what charges and precepts we gave you on the authority and by the inspiration of] the Lord Jesus.

3 For this is the will of God, that you should be consecrated (separated and set apart for pure and holy living): that you should abstain and shrink from all sexual vice,

 

 

Living in Gods will and living life abundantly are unified in His Word.

 

What you do for a living, where you work, how you live are all dependent on Living within His Will.  His will is shown in His Word.  Praying to know His will is only needed after you live as He has instructed and then seeking His guidance in your choices. Then you must listen for His instruction and heed it. 

 

Still not sure what to do?  Well you can't be lead by The Holy Spirit if you are not living how He said to.

 

And knowing God is living in a close relationship with Him, through obedience.

Are we like Job and claim our calamity is from God when it is from Satan?

 

 Job 1

8 And the Lord said to Satan, Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who [reverently] fears God and abstains from and shuns evil [because it is wrong]?

9 Then Satan answered the Lord, Does Job [reverently] fear God for nothing?

10 Have You not put a hedge about him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have conferred prosperity and happiness upon him in the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.

11 But put forth Your hand now and touch all that he has, and he will curse You to Your face.

12 And the Lord said to Satan (the adversary and the accuser), Behold, all that he has is in your power, only upon the man himself put not forth your hand.

 

Job 2

 

6 And the Lord said to Satan, Behold, he is in your hand; only spare his life.

7 So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord and smote Job with loathsome and painful sores from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head.

8 And he took a piece of broken pottery with which to scrape himself, and he sat [down] among the ashes.

9 Then his wife said to him, Do you still hold fast your blameless uprightness? Renounce God and die!

10 But he said to her, You speak as one of the impious and foolish women would speak. What? Shall we accept [only] good at the hand of God and shall we not accept [also] misfortune and what is of a bad nature? In [spite of] all this, Job did not sin with his lips. 

 

So we see that we, like Job and his wife, blame God for the world's  calamity, when it is Satan who fills our world with destruction and sickness.

And what else do we do?  We blame the evil of people's lives for their calamity, saying like Job's friends that he has reaped evil for his evil.  Yet that is not so. I agree that evil begets evil, but that does not mean that those who do no evil will still not receive evil in their lives.

How many times have people asked; why have good people fallen, or received death or evil in their lives?

We can see by God's Word that Satan causes destruction and not God. 

It is for us to study God's Word and seek His wisdom and truth.

How can I Bear Fruit?

Today as I did my daily devotional, one of the scriptures I read, John 15:4, which I am familiar with, struck a cord in my heart and mind.
One of the things I want to do in my life is become closer to God and be lead by the Holy Spirit to do God's will.
I want to share the truth of God and the Word~Jesus, with the world to draw others to Christ.

Let me start by sharing the scripture in context.

John 15

New King James Version (NKJV)

The True Vine

 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. ² Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. ³ You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. ⁴ Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

⁵ “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. ⁶ If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. ⁷ If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. ⁸ By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

⁹ “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. ¹⁰ If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.

 

As many times as I have read this scripture, the words: "⁴ Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me."

I never let the last part:    "unless you abide in Me."  sink in to my heart and brain.

If I do not abide in Him, His Word, His Will which is His Word, I cannot bear the fruit.

I would be like a cut off branch that has no root, no nourishment, no life.

I felt so bad when I realized all the sermons I gave to others, I was not following the message God had given me. STUDY, PRAY AND SEEK HIM!  How could I have expected the people to obey and listen if I was not doing the same.

 

Ephesians 2:10  For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

 

1 John 4:7-8   Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.  He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

 

All these scriptures have one think in common, knowing God and living in that knowledge.

 

If I don't stay in His Word, in His presence, then I am nothing, have nothing and will be nothing.

God said:

 

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.

Isaiah 55:8-10

 

 This is true, but, we know His ways and His thoughts when we read His Word, learn His Word, and listen to His Word made flesh, Jesus Christ.

 ^"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. "

2 Corinthians 5:17

 

When we study His Word, when we repeat His Word, when we live in His Word we become a branch that bears much fruit. And that fruit will lead us to being fulfilled in His Name.

To some of you this will be old knowledge, but to me it is Life more abundant.
