Are You Born Again?

Are you a born again Christian?  Yet you sometines have doubts?  Do you wonder if you did it all right, if you are still saved, did you lose your salvation?

These are normal questions for those who have not studied The Scriptures.
Today we will look at the meaning of being born again.
So lets take a look at some of those scriptures as we read a Bible Teachers notes:

Jn. 3:3: The new birth is essential for entering into the kingdom of God (v. 5). As Jesus explained to Nicodemus, this is not a second physical birth, but rather a spiritual birth. Our spiritual man became dead unto (separated from) God through sin (Ro 3:23; Ro 6:23; Ro 7:9, 11; Eph 2:1, 5). Just as we didn't accomplish our physical birth, we cannot produce this spiritual rebirth. We are totally incapable of saving ourselves (Jer 13:23; Ro 3:10-12; Ro 8:7-8; Eph 2:3); therefore, we need a Savior (Tit 1:4; Tit 2:13; Tit 3:4,6). We simply believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and we are saved (Ac 16:31). Faith is the only condition (Ro 3:28; Ro 10:6-9). Faith alone saves. However, saving faith is never alone. As stated in James 2:17-18, "faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone . . . shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works." Salvation is not a reformation, but rather a regeneration, a new birth, a new creation (2Co 5:17), that can only be accomplished by a creative miracle of the Holy Spirit (Joh 1:13; Joh 3:5).—Andrew Wommack's Living Commentary

I would quote all the scriptures, but you need to look them up.  I recommend that you use "The King James Version".  (If by chance you do not have a Bible, I recommend going to the book store and getting one, or you can look up scripture on many good websites, one is www.biblegateway.com, or Google "Bible").

Some simple scriptures are as follows (but please study them):

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.   For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.    He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 3:16-18 (KJV)

8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? 17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Romans 10:8-17 (KJV)

We have to have faith to believe, but we also need to hear the word of God, and act on it.  We have to believe that Jesus died for our sins, that is, we must  have faith in what we can not see; yet we have these testimonies from the Scriptures.  We need to study the Scriptures and pray.
Today I will end with this last scripture:

7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. (Jesus)
Matt 7:7-8 (KJV)
