KNOWING GOD IS KNOWING HIS WILL

Knowing God and His will is as easy as reading His Word.

Gen. 1:1-31  God created the heavens and the earth by the power of His tongue (Word).

 

Gen. 1:26  God created man in the image of Himself and those with Him, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. .."Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.."

 

God requires obedience:  Gen 2:15-17

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

 

 

1 Thessalonians 4:1-3

4 Furthermore, brethren, we beg and admonish you in [virtue of our union with] the Lord Jesus, that [you follow the instructions which] you learned from us about how you ought to walk so as to please and gratify God, as indeed you are doing, [and] that you do so even more and more abundantly [attaining yet greater perfection in living this life].

2 For you know what charges and precepts we gave you on the authority and by the inspiration of] the Lord Jesus.

3 For this is the will of God, that you should be consecrated (separated and set apart for pure and holy living): that you should abstain and shrink from all sexual vice,

 

 

Living in Gods will and living life abundantly are unified in His Word.

 

What you do for a living, where you work, how you live are all dependent on Living within His Will.  His will is shown in His Word.  Praying to know His will is only needed after you live as He has instructed and then seeking His guidance in your choices. Then you must listen for His instruction and heed it. 

 

Still not sure what to do?  Well you can't be lead by The Holy Spirit if you are not living how He said to.

 

And knowing God is living in a close relationship with Him, through obedience.
