As I continue to read about Saul and his early times after his conversion to Christ, I can't help but think what it must have been like for him. To know The Laws so well and also the scriptures and now to see them from the eyes of a follow of Christ must have been so eye opening.
As he recalled scripture and then related it to Christ consider: Isaiah 53 (the whole chapter should be read) verses 7-9
7He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
8He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
9And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
Saul knew of Christ's death and yet until his conversion he did not understand the scripture he knew as well as his own name.
WHAT DO YOU THINK: As a Christian, who should know the scripture, how do you relate to this and your knowledge of The Christ?
Let me know what you are thinking.
